Built for independent UK tutors
Run the whole tutoring practice from one place.
Lesson records, marking, parent reports, safeguarding and admin. EduAce does the unpaid work so you can spend the evening teaching, not typing.
Everything except the teaching
You are the teacher, scheduler, receptionist, accounts clerk and safeguarding lead at once. EduAce takes over the parts that don't earn.
One-click lesson records
A short post-lesson note becomes the next-lesson plan, the homework, and a reusable record of what you covered. No evening admin.
Marking against real exam boards
Evaluate essays against AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas assessment objectives, with reusable feedback banks and rubrics.
Parent reports, written for you
A plain-language progress report generated from lesson content only. Private notes and pupil remarks never leak into the parent view.
Safeguarding & compliance pack
Child-protection policy, incident log, consent forms, escalation prompts and a DBS vault, kept separate from ordinary lesson notes.
Invoicing, scheduling and tax
Schedule lessons, raise invoices, and keep tax-ready income and expense records for the current UK tax year.
And the small print that matters
Ofsted-ready safeguarding paperwork, consent forms and a DBS vault, kept in a separate audited store from your lesson notes.
Set it up in minutesWritten once, reused everywhere
The lesson note is the centre of everything. Record it once and the rest follows.
Record the lesson
Two minutes after the session ends. What you covered, what went well, what's next.
It turns into everything else
The next-lesson plan, the homework, the parent report and your own record. Written once, reused everywhere.
Mark, report, invoice
Mark essays against the exam board, send parents a report, raise the invoice. No re-typing.
Parents' data, handled properly
You hold children's personal data. Parents expect you to treat it seriously. This is built to help you do exactly that.
Field-level encryption
SEN and medical details, private notes, API keys and safeguarding descriptions are AES-256-GCM encrypted with a separate key for each tutor account.
Safeguarding kept apart
Safeguarding records live in their own store with their own access log. Every view of a decrypted record is audited.
Parent reports can't leak private notes
Reports are generated from an allowlist of parent-safe lesson data, then defensively redacted against private remarks before they are saved.
Scoped access and retention
Authenticated data access is scoped to the signed-in tutor. A documented schedule identifies when routine, lesson, financial and safeguarding records need review.
Passwords and sessions
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Essential authentication cookies maintain signed-in sessions; EduAce does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
AI processing is deliberate
Data is sent to Anthropic only when a tutor invokes an AI feature. Tutors can use an encrypted personal API key and must review every generated result.
Spend the evening teaching, not typing.
Free to start. Set up your practice, record a lesson and see the report in one sitting.
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about using EduAce and handling tutoring records.
Who is EduAce for?
EduAce is built for independent UK tutors who manage teaching, lesson records, marking, parent reports, safeguarding paperwork, scheduling and finances themselves.
What is included in a free account?
EduAce is currently free to use and includes the features shown on this page. There is no paid subscription, billing or payment flow in the current service. The invoicing tools are for the invoices a tutor raises for their own clients.
Which exam boards are supported?
The marking workflow includes assessment-objective support for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas. Tutors remain responsible for checking the selected mark scheme and the final feedback.
How does EduAce use AI?
AI can help draft next-lesson plans, homework, marking feedback and parent reports when a tutor asks for it. EduAce sends only the information needed for that request to Anthropic. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and must be reviewed before use.
Can I use my own Anthropic API key?
Yes. A tutor can save an Anthropic API key in Settings. The key is encrypted with that tutor's data-encryption key. If no personal key is set, the deployment may use its configured platform key.
How is sensitive pupil information protected?
Sensitive fields are encrypted before database storage. Each tutor has a separate data-encryption key, safeguarding records are stored separately, and authenticated data access is scoped to the signed-in tutor.
How long are records kept?
EduAce ships with default retention periods of 12 months for routine learner information after it is no longer needed, 24 months after tutoring ends for lesson and progress records, six years after the relevant tax year for financial records, and the learner's 25th birthday for safeguarding records. Tutors can adjust routine, lesson and financial periods in Settings. These values set review and retention dates; EduAce does not delete records automatically.
How do I get help or request deletion?
Email support@eduace.uk for product help, privacy questions, accessibility reports, or an account and data-deletion request. Some records may need to be retained where a legal or safeguarding duty applies.
Legal information

Privacy notice
EduAce stores the information needed to run the service, including tutor account and business details, pupil records, lessons, marking, reports, safeguarding records, invoices, expenses and settings. It also keeps a safeguarding access log that records who viewed or changed a safeguarding record and when. Tutors decide what pupil and parent data to enter and are the data controller for it. EduAce processes that data to provide the features they choose.
We use this information to provide requested features, secure accounts, keep records, support safeguarding work, generate documents and run AI-assisted features selected by the tutor. Independent tutors are responsible for establishing an appropriate lawful basis and giving required notices for the pupil and parent information they enter.
When a tutor invokes an AI feature, the information needed for that request is sent to Anthropic for processing. Parent reports are built from an allowlist of parent-safe lesson data and checked against private remarks before they are saved.
EduAce's default retention periods are 12 months for routine learner information after it is no longer needed, 24 months after tutoring ends for lesson and progress records, six years after the relevant tax year for financial records, and until the learner's 25th birthday for safeguarding records. Tutors can adjust the routine, lesson and financial periods in Settings. These periods set review and retention dates; EduAce does not delete records automatically. If a date of birth is unavailable, the safeguarding fallback is 25 years from the incident. Legal or safeguarding duties may require different periods in a specific case.
To ask for access, correction, deletion or other privacy help, email support@eduace.uk. We may need to verify the request and may retain records where a legal or safeguarding duty requires it.
Terms of use
These terms govern use of EduAce. You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in details and use the service only for lawful tutoring and practice-administration purposes.
You must have authority and an appropriate lawful basis for the personal information you enter. You remain responsible for professional judgement, safeguarding decisions, parent communications, financial records and compliance with duties that apply to your tutoring practice.
AI-generated plans, marking and reports are drafts. Review them for accuracy, suitability, bias and inappropriate disclosure before relying on or sharing them. Do not use EduAce or its AI features as a substitute for emergency, legal, medical or safeguarding advice.
You keep ownership of and responsibility for the content you enter. You permit EduAce and its service providers to process that content only as needed to operate the requested features, secure the service and meet applicable duties.
EduAce may change or withdraw features and may suspend accounts used unlawfully or in ways that harm the service or others. The service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
